About the Role
Claims Technician
Barker Munro is working with this leading global claims company who are currently looking to recruit a team of Claims Technician for their home based claims unit.
As a claims technician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to a range of external partners including insurance companies, solicitors, brokers and direct policyholders, relating to queries on their claims. As well as proactively driving your claims portfolio, you will be required to maintain a diary system, arrange payments and produce detailed reports and letters to external partners.
You will be given a comprehensive training plan over the initial few months which will include working in a classroom environment, where required, along with on the job training with your 'buddy' to enable you to fully understand the dynamics of the role and the industry.
Once trained you will work as a claims technician where you will be part of a close knit team of technicians handling claims relating to insurance property claims. The work is not a call centre, it is much more aligned to a back office support function but with important telephone contact work as and when required.
We have successfully placed a variety of candidates into these roles over the last year due to expansion and they will consider either Insurance experienced applicants or A ‘level/Graduate trainees. To be considered for the role of Claims Technician, you will be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills and be able to take ownership of your own workload and have confident communication skills. Previous involvement within a customer service office environment is key and any exposure to the insurance industry would be considered a bonus but not essential.
This is a fully immersive home based role.
