Commercial Underwriter, Kent 
£40,000 - £45,000

Barker Munro are offering you the opportunity to work with this growing insurance concern based in Kent who are currently in the market for a proven commercial underwriter with exposure to non-standard risks.

You will underwrite new business and business relationships with brokers to actively encourage generation of new commercial business. An awareness of renewals and existing business underwriting would also be desirable. My client will be looking for you to maximise income from their specialist markets and schemes and be involved in product development. 

To be considered for the role you will have been carrying out a commercial underwriter role in the UK insurance market. You will be able to trade with brokers and be confident in writing new business. You will be personable and be able to focus on client new business either over the phone or directly face to face. The underwriting team focus on all products across the commercial insurance spectrum including, but not limited to, commercial package, commercial property, EL, PL, Property owners and business interruption, so knowledge in cross class lines of business is essential to you being successful in this role. 

My client will give consideration to any background in commercial underwriting and are willing to help support your underwriting career. We are hoping to find candidates with experience of bespoke underwriting.

This role offers hybrid work with half of the week in the office and half from home.
